As part of its commitment to the environment, Touax is proud to announce its partnership with EcoTree France, a French forest manager.

Touax provides its customers with sustainable transport equipment (freight wagons, river barges, intermodal containers), allowing them to decarbonise freight transport through mass solutions that encourage modal shift. 
Regarding our direct and indirect energy-related emissions, we have chosen to increase the proportion of renewable energy used and have adopted an energy-saving policy for our offices and staff travels.

But to go even further, we have chosen to participate in the sustainable management of the Montplonne forest in Meuse (France), which covers an area of 83 hectares and has an estimated long-term carbon sequestration potential of 6,941 tonnes. 🌳
More than 64,000 trees will be planted in this forest, which will be supervised and managed by EcoTree foresters according to the principles of a mixed cover forestry. This forest will be a place of biodiversity development and a permanent carbon sink, but this project is also a local socio-economic development which is a key element of our CSR approach.
